The importance of networking

When I first started writing, I found it to be a lonely profession. Now, being an active member of SCBWI, this is no longer the case. I'll be adding more links over time that either I, or people that I've spoken to, have found useful.

www.scbwi.org/ The Society of Children's Book Writers and illustrators homepage
www.scbwiscotland.co.uk/ Homepage for the Scottish chapter of SCBWI
www.scottishbooktrust.com/ A wonderful resource for published authors
http://need2bpublished.blogspot.com/ A great blog with links for pre-published authors
www.societyofauthors.org/subsidiary_groups/soa_in_scotland/ Another great site with information on contracts etc for published authors
www.scottisharts.org.uk/ A site dedicated to the funding and development of your craft.
www.ayewrite.com/ Book festival held in Glasgow
www.literacytrust.org.uk/ A charity dedicated to helping those who struggle with reading and writing
http://margotfinke.blogspot.com/ The wonderfully talented Margot - a site with advice and a lot more besides.
